Scholarship Opportunities for the Next Generation of HR Professionals!
The Delaware Valley HR Person of the Year (HRPOY) Committee is excited to offer students a unique scholarship and networking opportunity!
Scholarship Details
The purpose of the scholarships is to recognize undergraduate and graduate students, who are committed to pursuing careers in human resources and have shown strong academic ability and early engagement and accomplishments in human resources related areas.
Two scholarships will be awarded: a $1,500 undergraduate winner and a $1,500 graduate winner. The Scholarships will be presented at the HRPOY Awards event on May 18th in-person.
Applications are due March 3, 2023.
Who is Eligible?
All students should be currently attending colleges or universities and enrolled through the Fall of 2023. Students living in, working in or enrolled in a school in the Greater Philadelphia/Delaware Valley area are eligible to apply.
Undergraduate Students enrolled in any of the following programs:
- Human Resources Management
- Organizational Management
- Business Admin (with a concentration in Human Resources)
Undergraduate Students who are NOT enrolled in the programs listed above, but who demonstrate a strong desire to become an HR professional, are enrolled in or have completed at least one HR related course are also eligible to apply. Internship experience or work experience is preferable, but not necessary.
Graduate Students currently enrolled in an MBA or MS program with a concentration in Human Resources, Organizational Management, or Industrial Relations are eligible. Undergraduate students moving onto a graduate program may be required to provide proof of enrollment. Past undergraduate scholarship recipients are eligible to reapply for the graduate scholarship.
Scholarship awards will be based on candidate’s completed scholarship application, field work or course work related to Human Resources, Human Resources related extracurricular activities and essay answers.
