The Delaware Valley HR Person of the Year Awards has been providing local charities with 100% of the proceeds from our successful silent auctions for 11 years!
In 2011, we raised $7,145 for Race for Hope, Philadelphia – the local chapter of the National Brain Tumor Society which funds results-driven research to accelerate the discovery of new therapies for adult and pediatric brain tumors and raises awareness and advocates on the brain tumor issues. Other previous charities include Ann Silverman Community Health Clinic, Philadelphia Academies Inc., Support Center for Child Advocates, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Philadelphia Futures, Gaudenzia, The Bridge, Child, Inc., Chester County Futures and Ranch Hope Inc.
The 2012 charity is Junior Achievement of Delaware. Junior Achievement is the world's largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. JA experiences are delivered by corporate and community volunteers, to give students from kindergarten through high school knowledge and skills in financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship.
If you have any items you or your company would like to donate, such as baskets, gift certificates, autographed books, candles, sports items, etc., or know someone who would like to donate items for the 2012 Silent Auction, please contact Jamee Rivers at or Laura Kasper at
